Sri Pada Under the Stars
Adam's Peak (Sinhalese: Sri Pada or "Sri Paadaya" and Samanalakanda) is a 2243m tall mountain situated in the central of Sri Lanka. Buddhists consider the mountain holy with the belief that the sacred footprints of Buddha situated on the summit. For many Sri Lankans it’s an annual pilgrimage site where they have to conquer more than 5000 steps with a steep climb to reach the top. I have being on the same route as a Buddhist and as a photographer for 6 times and each time it gives me memorable experiences. Here are some mystical shots I managed to capture in one of my visits to this amazing place.
